The following is part of an investigation of a contemporary Aboriginal housing exemplar located at One Mile, North Stradbroke Island. It aimed to generate an understanding of the self-constructed, contemporary Aboriginal ethno-architecture present and in doing so, reveal the complexity of spatial configurations, behavioural patterns, construction technique and the self-determined demarcation of the residence.
